Amber

INSTRUCTOR

Originally from Central MN, Amber went on to study dance and film at college. After college, she lived and worked professionally in NYC with some of her favorite performing experiences dancing with Jennifer Archibald in a contemporary ballet style dance and performing as the lead tap dancer in a bi-lingual Italian show for kids. She received a BFA in Dance Performance and choreography studying Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Tap, Modern, and African dance styles and loves to bring in cross-training with Somatic Theory based exercises into the classroom to help students understand the mind-body connection of dance and to progress in their technical artistry.

She has had dance work presented in various theatres in NYC and has also created dance films featured in festivals throughout the world, most notably presenting work in Dance Camera West's emerging artist competition in LA and winning Best Young Filmmaker in Fastnet Short Film Festival in Ireland. She still continues to work as the Livestream Producer and Video Editor for Nel Shelby Productions in NYC and the Video Producer consultant for Jacob's PIllow Dance Festival in MA.
